Ngā Manu o Tupua Horo Nuku Education Campaign

The Ngā Manu Education Campaign was developed to raise awareness of birds in the Eastern Bays. Working with local students from Muritai School and Wellesley College, it was an opportunity to promote community-led conservation projects such as the Days Bay Penguin Haven and Mainland Island Restoration Operation (MIRO) while sharing valuable learnings from project ecologists aimed at improving the environment and protecting wildlife.

The programme is developed with school teachers to align with learning outcomes promoting culture, sustainability and citizen science.
